Our Ethos
To provide a collaborative learning environment, heavily involving parents and guardians in the strategy and day to day involvement of our nursery.
This collaborative environment is created through:
- a parent and guardian rota system that supports the permanent staff a couple of times a term in running of the session,
- reducing costs through via small weekly food donations for snack time, supporting community events and fundraising activities,
- parents, former-parents and community residents taking on non-fee earning Director roles,
- your commitment to the needs of the children and helping nurture them within this environment.
Our Team
Leading our wonderful team is our Nursery Manager, Shakeira Lawson.
The children call me Keira. I have over 15 years childcare experience. I love looking after children with a hands on, open door philosophy. I'm level 5 qualified in childcare and management and lead my team by example.
I'm mother to 3 very different personalities, each with different learning styles and present different challenges as a parent. This experience allows me to understand the importance of working in partnership with parents, relaying my experiences but also learning from theirs.
I believe that all children, irrespective of their background, should be given an equal opportunity to develop so as to reach their required developmental milestone, and I have great fun helping them to achieve this!

Management
The Jumping Beans Directors are responsible for the overall operation of the nursery. Supporting the Nursery Manager in the day to day running of the site, ensuring a safe environment for the children and the employees.
The Directors make sure the nursery adheres to the government standards for Early Years, that it communicates effectively with parents, and upholds the nursery’s reputation.

Culminating in our end of year trip to a surprise destination, which we can guarantee that the children love, as do the parents that volunteer as well!
